Sticking with the theme of truning a hobby into a home business, I will always write an article when I see someone taking thier hobby to an extreme home business level. I have come accross one example that has done just that. Ryan Henderson has outdone himself taking his working knowledge of building structures to the next level and created a nice business out of it. His website is as good or better than most of the professional internet marketers out there. He does all the right stuff like web page seo (web page optimized for search engines), videos, give away free plans, special bonuses and detialed information of what he is selling. He really could not have done a better job.
If you are planning on selling on the internet, you really should take note on every particular detial in how his Ryans webpage is crafted. He does everything Gurus say you should do and more. Use his webpage as a starting point for your own (without copying his of course). This is the way to sell on the internet.
Now as far as his business, is it a viable business? He is marketing to the backyard mechanic types that like to build their own and there are very many of these types of people out there (I for one am). His main selling point is a viable one also, why pay hundreds of dollars for a prebuilt shed when you can use one his plans and build it for a lot less. Heck, I'd buy one when I was ready to put up a shed (which may be soon). Especially at the price of his plans but now I'm getting off topic.
If you are going to take your hobby to the next level and earn some income from it, you will most likely need to study this website and create your own if you are selling and I can't imagine how you are going to make extra income by not selling something. Even if it is a service, item or something else, it still has to be sold. You don't need $500 emarketing courses to learn how to do things right.
