Admit it. A well deserved vacation is something we all look forward to. While not everyone can take the vacations we dream of, … the ones that do often leave not thinking about what they are leaving behind. ‘Their home.’
Some vacationers put a lot of thought into their absence from their home. On the other hand there are those that don’t. This is a mistake.
When leaving your home for certain periods of time, great care should be given to how your home is seen by strangers in your absence.
Some really basic and obvious things can keep a potential burglar from hitting your home while you’re away.
Use timers to control a few lamps in key area’s of your home while your gone.
Have the post office and paper carrier stop delivery until you return.
Give a neighbor permission to park a vehicle on your driveway while you are gone.
Arrange to have the lawn mowed or walks shoveled in your absence. This will give your home a occupied look.
